One never needs a reason to take photos. Carry a camera with you where ever you go and you will be always taking photos.
Recently I have joined a group on FB that has a very large following of photographers. Each week this group is given a one or two word challenge and then asked to portray this in a photo. There over a thousand participants from all around the world and the photo ideas abound.
Well this weeks challenge is “Upside Down”. Sometimes the challenge is easy to visualize and create a photo to show it. I tried a variety of things to find something worth while. The image below was not easy to achieve at all. Taking a shot on a phone and then flipping the phone to make the image upside down doesn’t work. The phone corrects the view every time. So I had to flip it in post. but I wasn’t pleased with it.

The challenge for the following image was “Old”. I had a very clear thought of what I would do and just how and where I had to go to get it. The old cars were located in the town so off I went to get the image.

So the “Upside Down” image was going to need some work. I tried a few things, some in camera, others with post editing, and others all in post.
These two shot were in camera double exposures.
This was one I created from a stock photo.
Then I went for symmetry.
The last idea was this one.
Refreshing on a hot spring or summer day, fill a glass with ice and turn over your favorite bottled beer into the ice. The bottle only releases a small amount and keeps all the beer cool while keeping you cool.
