It began with a bike ride past a quiet park. The shaded flower beds had one ray of sun coming through the trees.
The colour caught my eye.
The green background made the orange, red, and yellow stand out.
This one was casting its shadow on the ground behind it.
Being close to your subject doesn’t allow having the entire flower in focus. So you settle for the leading edge.
Looking close at the pistil and stamen you fine the beauty of a flower in a small scale.
Again focus is a factor in making a photograph.
Summer is a wonderful time to be out in a natural setting.
