Sunday is a traditional day of rest unless you call yourself a photographer. In which case you join a group of other photographers and spend a day, or at least a few hours avoiding them to get a perfect image.
So that what I did. The destination was The Kettle River Provincial Park off highway 33 North of Rock Creek. This area had a froest fire a few year back that destroy a lot of the trees and plants.

Many of the trees are still standing. The charring is evident on the bark and from a distance is has an eerie feel to it.

The under growth has recovered quite well with long grasses and a multitude of flowers.
Some flowers on their own while others have a friend to share the new forest floor.
Like these two, happy to be blossoming.
And another two, although they like a little worse for ware.
Then closer to the river most everything escaped the flames and life goes on.
So I hope you can take a Sunday and go exploring what this wonderful world has to show you.
