Looking for Fall

This thanksgiving weekend is a good opportunity to be grateful and what better than a tour into nature to look for “Fall Colours”.

At a local pond the bordering trees have their own colours.
The blue sky above is reflected in a deeper blue of the pond.
Many of the wild birds have gone south.
The cattails are all but gone too.
With a big wind the coloured leaves will be sent to the ground.
One solo Red Wind Blackbird calls while the cattails listen quietly.
The pond are ready for the eventual freeze up.
Grasses reflect in the darker pond.
One post left from a former fence.
The feeling is of quiet calm.
One lone birch changes to a colourful contrast of the remaining trees.
Blue sky and orange/yellow leaves.

So we had a very successful Thanks Giving Sunday Tour. Hope you enjoyed it with us.

Until next time remember to take the road less traveled.
